On 15-16 May 2014, the grand meeting of calcium silicate cement boards industry association was held in Chengdu, the theme of this meeting is “ Green, Environmental-protection, Innovation and Development”. The general manager of Anhui Conch Venture New Building Materials Co. Ltd(“CVNB”), Mr Li Jian attended this meeting. CVNB was elected to be the first director of the calcium silicate cement boards industry association.

The meeting introduced mainly the economic tendency of the nation and the features, problems and directions of the calcium silicate cement boards industry’s development, and pointed that the ?total capacity of calcium silicate cement boards in 2013 was 565.5 million square meters, increased by 25.6% comparing the last year, which showed a good momentum.
Attendants were dicussed about process, equipment level and application of the products. They communicated with each other about the problems which they concerned.

After the meeting, attendants visited the office exterior walls of ?Chengdu Electronic Technology University which were coated by fiber cement coating plates.

At the end, the secretary of industry association communicated with Mr Li, introduced an American company named Hardie which is the famous manufacturer and supplier of the non-asbestos fiber cement products, it has large scale of capacity and highly qualified products. He believed that with the involvement of Conch Venture, this industry would be developed rapidly.
